Home School Partnership

The purpose of a parental involvement and engagement plan:

Research evidence states that schools with strong family engagement are 10 times more likely to improve student learning outcomes (Collaborating to transform and improve education systems, Universal Education). Consequently, this improves life chances for our pupils.

Family engagement also:

  • Helps parents/carers to view school as a positive part of their community.
  • Supports positive, open relationships and mutual respect between school staff and parents.
  • Supports pupils to learn beyond the school gate.
  • Empowers parents (confidence and knowledge) to be a part of their child’s school life and learning journey.
  • Raises aspirations for all.
