How to Apply

  • You will receive a school place offer directly from your local authority.

Adwick Primary School – Nursery to Reception Transition

  • Pupils attending the nursery will not automatically move to the main school.
  • A separate application is needed for a place in reception.

Nursery Admission

  • Children can attend nursery either part-time or full-time, starting the term after their third birthday.
  • Admission periods are January, April, and September, but flexibility is applied based on the child’s needs.
  • Each nursery session has 39 places.
  • If places are oversubscribed, the school’s over-subscription criteria will be used.
  • Parents will be informed of admission decisions by the school.

School Visits and Home Visits

  • Parents are encouraged to visit the school.
  • The school will also attempt to conduct home visits for all pupils who are offered a place before they start.
